Get answers to common questions about European Facial.
The European Facial begins with a skin consultation, cleansing, steam and gentle exfoliation, followed by professional extractions, a soothing mask, facial massage, toner and moisturizer. Treatments are fully customized and typically last 60 minutes; SPF is applied when needed.
Yes — many sensitive and acne-prone clients benefit from a European Facial. We modify exfoliation intensity, avoid aggressive techniques, perform careful extractions, and select gentle, non-comedogenic products. A patch test and consultation ensure safety and reduce irritation risk.
For most clients we recommend scheduling a European Facial every four to six weeks to support skin turnover and maintain clarity. Frequency may change based on skin type, concerns or active treatments; your esthetician will recommend a personalized plan.
Mild redness or sensitivity after extractions is common and usually subsides within a few hours to a couple of days. Occasional purging can occur as impurities surface. Proper aftercare, cooling masks and avoiding makeup help speed recovery; contact us if severe inflammation develops.
Avoid strong active ingredients (retinoids, acids) and professional peels for 48–72 hours before your appointment. Skip heavy tanning, waxing or exfoliation on the treatment area. Arrive with clean skin or minimal makeup and inform us about medications or recent procedures.
Side effects are usually minimal: temporary redness, light sensitivity or mild flaking for a day or two. There's typically no downtime, but avoid sun exposure and vigorous exercise for 24 hours. Use gentle skincare and sunscreen to protect healing skin.
